i don’t like coffee

is it a problem that i have gone all the way through college and into the middle of my first year as a working man, and still don’t like coffee? i tried it when i was little, but never caught my attention.

two years ago i went to starbucks almost everyday for three months and never once ordered a latte. i always managed to get either tea or water. i was not the type of person corporate would like.

me not liking coffee doesn’t keep me from loving coffee shops though. we have a couple of great little places in charlottesville, the best small town in the country. the mudhouse might be one of the coolest places in town, though there are still so many places i have yet to venture to. the other place i really like is cville coffee. (i was going to post a link to cville coffe, but their website is horrible). you will just have to go there.

my dive coach from college owns shenandoah joe, which might be some of the best coffee on the east coast, though i wouldn’t know, as i don’t drink the stuff.

tired of the same old thing

i need something new in my life. this will be my attempt at that.

i am sick of the typical blog i have tried. i guess if we were talking politics, i would categorize myself as apathetic when it comes to the blog thing.

i don’t want to talk about deep things here, which i have tried on a number of other blogs i have started. this is going to be different, or at least i hope it will be different.

i am going to talk about little, fun things that happen in my life, most things that no one would care about, except for me. if it bombs, then no worries. it is just another failed atempt. i guess i will need to find something interesting to talk about though.

i was at my brother’s place the other day when he told me about a saw he won. yes, that’s right. he won a Ridgid Fuego. there was a contest on toolmonger, which he submitted an entry on, telling what he would use the saw for if he won it. well, he won.

last night we used the saw to make some shelves in my parent’s garage. here is the before and kind of after pictures from what we made.

my parent’s garage nees a lot of help. hopefully we can make it serve its purpose as a real garage someday soon. i think we need to spend about a year and a half in there in order for it to be a fully functioning garage, that holds two cars!

tomorrow i am off to hilton head south carolina, with my family. then off to new orleans to do some volunteer work.
